Risk warning: Trading carries a high risk of losing money, especially with leveraged products such as CFDs. A bonus does not reduce that risk. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

The catch

Rebate is credited as cash to the brokerage account after approval (about 5 business days) and is usable with no trading turnover. Thresholds: first wire must be $2,500+ within 30 days of opening; every subsequent wire must be $10,000+ to qualify. Only the actual bank wire fee is refunded, capped at $25/wire (if your bank charges no outgoing wire fee, the rebate is $0). Maximum 3 rebates per calendar month.

How to claim

  1. Log into your Firstrade account at firstrade.com after the wired funds have been received.
  2. Go to Service, then Promotions, then Wire Transfer.
  3. Select your qualifying wire transfers and submit the rebate claim.
  4. Submit the claim within 30 calendar days of receiving the wired funds.
  5. Wait about 5 business days for review; once approved the rebate is credited to your account.

Full review

Firstrade refunds the fee your own bank charges to wire money into your Firstrade brokerage account. The rebate covers up to $25 per wire transfer, with a cap of three rebates per calendar month. The reimbursement is credited as cash to your account after Firstrade reviews and approves the claim, which takes about five business days.

The "up to $25" figure is a ceiling, not a flat payout. Firstrade only refunds the actual fee your bank charged, so if your bank's outgoing wire fee is $15 you get $15 back, not $25. There are also size thresholds: your first wire must be $2,500 or more and completed within 30 days of opening the account, and every wire after that must be at least $10,000 to qualify.

You have to file the claim yourself through the Service, Promotions, Wire Transfer menu within 30 calendar days of the funds arriving, and Firstrade can change or end the offer at any time without notice. Eligibility is limited to individual, joint and custodial investment accounts, which in practice means US residents who can open a Firstrade brokerage account. The terms took effect on 01/05/2026.

  • +Cash credit is fully usable and withdrawable, no trading turnover required
  • +Repeatable up to three times per month

Cons

  • Only the actual fee charged is refunded, not a flat $25

  • Claim must be filed manually within 30 days of the funds arriving
  • Limited to US individual, joint and custodial accounts
  • Effective return is tiny: subsequent wires must be $10,000+ just to recover a sub-$25 bank fee (about 0.25% or less)
  • Rebate equals only your bank's actual wire fee, capped at $25, if your bank waives outgoing wire fees the rebate is $0
