Risk warning: Trading carries a high risk of losing money, especially with leveraged products such as CFDs. A bonus does not reduce that risk. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

The catch
Cash prizes are paid into the winner's LIVE Eightcap trading account, not the demo account used to compete. To receive or withdraw the prize the winner must open and maintain an eligible live Standard or Raw account and submit correct bank and personal (KYC) details; multiple aggregator sources state the prize is then fully withdrawable with no turnover or trading-lot requirement.
How to claim
- Visit the Eightcap contest portal at contest.eightcap.com (linked from challenges.eightcap.com)
- Register for the current monthly demo competition with an eligible account before the registration cutoff
- Trade the demo account during the contest period (typically the 15th to the 30th of the month)
- Finish in the top three by percentage return to win; prizes are credited automatically to a live trading account after the contest ends
Full review
Eightcap runs a free demo trading competition each month. You register on the contest portal, trade a virtual demo account during the contest window (typically the 15th to the 30th), and ranking is by the largest percentage return.
The prizes are real cash: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, and $300 for third, paid into a live Eightcap trading account. The marketing headline of "up to $1,800" is the total prize pool split across the top three finishers, not an amount any single trader receives.
Only three people win each month, and the realistic outcome for almost every entrant is $0. Because trading is on a demo account, there is no entry fee and no money at risk, but there is also no skill edge that guarantees a payout.
The landing page says the cash prize is fully withdrawable with no conditions, but that claim is not backed by a terms document we could verify, so the withdrawal terms should be treated cautiously. Entry is one per person and requires a valid non-disposable email and a mobile number able to receive international calls.
Residents of Australia and the United States are excluded, along with sanctioned and restricted jurisdictions listed in the Eightcap Challenges General Terms (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria and others). This is separate from the paid Eightcap Challenges prop-firm product, which charges entry fees from $69.
Pros
- +Free to enter with no deposit and no money at risk
- +Real cash prizes ($1,000 / $500 / $300) paid to a live account
- +Runs every month so there are repeated chances to enter
Cons
- −Only three winners per month, so almost all entrants get nothing
- −The '$1,800' figure is the total pool, not what any one trader receives
- −Withdrawal terms are stated only in marketing copy, not a verifiable T&C
- −Not available to Australia, the U.S., and several sanctioned jurisdictions
- −Prize is paid to a LIVE account, not the demo account: winners must open/maintain an eligible live Standard or Raw account and pass KYC (submit bank and personal details) before they can collect
- −Expected value for an individual entrant is effectively $0, only three people win per month out of all entrants
