Checking availability…The catch
The reward is a real Apple share booked into your depot with EUR 0 acquisition cost, not cash, so you can sell it once it is booked. To get it you must own an UpTrade-eligible stock, pass the Wissens-Check and start an UpTrade within the opening month plus one month. The UpTrade can cap the upside of the stock you used, and the bank charges 1.50% of the premium to open it.
How to claim
- Apply for your first Consorsbank securities depot through the UpTrade new-customer promotion page by 30 December 2026 (offer applies to depots opened from 21 September 2026) and complete account opening by 20 January 2027.
- Buy a stock that is eligible for UpTrade, or transfer one in from another bank.
- Prepare with the UpTrade guide and pass the Wissens-Check.
- Start an UpTrade on that stock by the end of the month after the month you opened the depot.
- The Apple share (WKN 865985) is booked into your depot in the following month, with 1 unit and EUR 0 acquisition cost.
Full review
Consorsbank gives one Apple share (WKN 865985) to new customers who open their first securities depot through the promotion page, buy or transfer in a stock that is eligible for UpTrade, pass the bank's Wissens-Check and start an UpTrade by the end of the month after the depot is opened. The share is booked in the following month with one unit and EUR 0 acquisition cost. Consorsbank's own page used EUR 241.21 as the Apple reference price in its UpTrade calculator, and deal sites put the value at EUR 240 to EUR 300 depending on the day, so the value moves with the Apple share price.
The catch is what UpTrade is. It is a covered call: you sell a call option on shares you already hold, collect a premium up front, and if the stock closes above the strike price at the end of the term (30 to 180 days) the shares are sold at the strike. That caps your upside, and you still carry the full downside on the stock. You need to own an eligible stock first, so you have to put real money into a share (a single share can cost several hundred euros, for example about EUR 409 for Allianz on the page's own example). Consorsbank charges 1.50% of the premium when an UpTrade opens, and EUR 9.95 if it is exercised. The ETF Prämie on Tagesgeld cannot be combined with this offer, and the free share can count as taxable income.
The offer is for private customers in Germany who held no Consorsbank account or depot in the last 6 months, once per person (a joint account counts once). Minors, RISE Young Trading openings and BNP Paribas Wealth Management clients are excluded. The depot application must be made through the promotion page by 30 December 2026 and completed by 20 January 2027. Check the dates on the promotion page before you apply.
