WEEX is an offshore crypto derivatives exchange founded in 2018 and run by WEEX International Exchange LTD, which holds no operating licence from a recognised financial regulator and relies on anti-money-laundering registrations such as a FINTRAC money services business filing. Georgia's banking regulator and the Arkansas Securities Department have both ordered it to stop unlicensed money transmission. It suits experienced futures traders who accept offshore risk, and it does not serve the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea or the UAE.

About 20 USDT in non-withdrawable vouchers

WEEX advertises up to 10,000 USDT for new users, but the part a normal new user can reach is a 10 USDT fee coupon plus a 10 USDT trial fund after a 100 USDT deposit. Both are futures-only credit that you cannot withdraw.

About WEEX

Profile checked against official sources on · How we rate

Who WEEX is

WEEX launched in 2018 and is mainly a futures exchange. Its core product is USDT-margined perpetual futures on crypto, alongside spot trading, copy trading and futures on stocks, indices and commodities. It has its own token, WXT. The operating company is WEEX International Exchange LTD, and its headquarters are unclear: third parties link the business to Singapore, Dubai, the Seychelles and Taiwan, and the Georgia order was addressed in part to an office in Taipei.

WEEX markets itself heavily through referral-coded landing pages and recurring trading campaigns. Those pages often show different offers from the main site, and the reward programmes change without notice, so the terms you see depend on which link you used to sign up.

Safety and regulation

WEEX holds no operating licence from a tier-1 or tier-2 regulator. WEEX International Exchange LTD has a FINTRAC money services business registration in Canada (M21642476), and third parties report further registrations with FinCEN in the US, the St Vincent and the Grenadines FSA and El Salvador. These are anti-money-laundering registrations, not licences to run a trading venue, and they give clients no compensation scheme or ombudsman. Canadian and US users are blocked under WEEX's own terms.

In 2025 the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance issued a cease and desist order against WEEX International Exchange LTD for operating a virtual currency platform in Georgia without a money transmitter licence. The letter is dated 23 January 2025 and the department reported it final on 27 March 2025. The Arkansas Securities Department issued a separate order directing WEEX to stop unlicensed money transmitter activity in the state. We found no IOSCO alert or Seychelles FSA warning naming WEEX.

Third-party summaries of the WEEX terms list the United States, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Myanmar, North Korea, the UAE, Iran, Syria, Sudan, Somalia, Cuba, Venezuela and Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine as restricted. The official terms page did not load when we checked, so confirm your country before depositing.

Fees and trading

WEEX does not publish a fee table we could retrieve, and third-party sources quote different rates for spot and futures, partly because WEEX has run zero-fee campaigns on some pairs. Check the fee shown in the order window before trading. Futures volume on WEEX is counted as margin times leverage, which matters for the volume-based reward tasks.

Futures leverage on WEEX is high, and some campaign positions open at a fixed 20x, 30x or 100x. At those levels a small price move can liquidate a position. WEEX also runs a referral programme that pays existing users a commission on the trading fees of friends they invite.

How the WEEX welcome rewards work

The welcome page advertises up to 10,000 USDT for new users but does not show how that figure adds up. What a normal new user can reach is about 20 USDT: a 10 USDT fee coupon for signing up, plus a 10 USDT trial fund for a net deposit of at least 100 USDT held for 3 consecutive days. Further tasks add first-trade loss protection of up to 10 USDT and position airdrops tied to 2,000 USDT or more of futures volume, and the top milestone pays a 120 USDT trial fund only after 1,000,000 USDT of volume.

None of this is cash. WEEX's voucher rules say the coupon and futures bonus cannot be withdrawn; only profit made with them can. Trial funds are valid for about 7 days and are then reclaimed, which can liquidate a position using them as margin. Moving money out of the futures account before the bonus is used voids the rest, and position airdrops are preset leveraged positions with no stated withdrawal rule. WEEX can revoke rewards for wash trading, hedging or multiple accounts.

Pros

  • +Wide futures range, including crypto perpetuals and futures on stocks, indices and commodities
  • +Sign-up coupon needs no deposit, and the trial fund needs only 100 USDT held for 3 days
  • +Profit made with coupons and trial funds can be withdrawn
  • +Copy trading is available for users who do not want to place trades themselves
  • +Referral programme pays a commission on invited friends' trading fees

Cons

  • −Offshore exchange with no operating licence from a recognised regulator, only AML registrations
  • −Cease and desist orders from Georgia's banking regulator and the Arkansas Securities Department
  • −Welcome rewards are futures-only credit that cannot be withdrawn, worth about 20 USDT for a typical new user
  • −The 10,000 USDT headline is not broken down and is far above what normal users reach
  • −No retrievable official fee table or terms page, and offers change by referral link
  • −Not available in the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, the UAE and others

Frequently asked questions

Does WEEX have a sign-up bonus?

Yes. New users get a 10 USDT fee coupon for signing up and a 10 USDT trial fund after a net deposit of at least 100 USDT held for 3 days. Both are futures-only credit that cannot be withdrawn, though profit made with them can be. The advertised 10,000 USDT total depends on volume tasks far beyond normal use.

Is WEEX regulated?

No recognised financial regulator licenses WEEX. WEEX International Exchange LTD holds a FINTRAC money services business registration (M21642476) and other reported AML registrations, which are not trading licences. Georgia and Arkansas regulators have issued cease and desist orders against it for unlicensed money transmission.

Can I withdraw the WEEX bonus?

No. Coupons, trial funds and the futures bonus offset fees, losses and funding costs and work as margin, but cannot be withdrawn. Only the profit they generate is withdrawable, and transferring funds out of the futures account before the bonus is used voids what remains.

How does the WEEX referral programme work?

Existing users share an invite link or code, and WEEX pays them a commission on the trading fees of the friends who sign up through it. Invited friends see the welcome tasks, which can differ from the main site depending on the link.
