eToro Welcome Bonus: Up to $500 in Free Stocks
eToro
New eToro customers in eligible countries who deposit at least US$200 and select stocks as their trading interest can receive up to US$500 in free stocks, scaled to deposit size.
eToro is a multi-asset broker regulated by tier-1 authorities including CySEC, the UK's FCA and Australia's ASIC, and is known for social and copy trading. Its welcome offer is a free share that you own outright, available in eligible countries outside the United States. The reward carries a holding condition on the qualifying deposit rather than a trading turnover.
Risk warning: Trading carries a high risk of losing money, especially with leveraged products such as CFDs. A bonus does not reduce that risk. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

eToro was founded in Tel Aviv in 2007 by brothers Yoni and Ronen Assia together with David Ring, originally under the name RetailFX. It grew into one of the largest retail multi-asset platforms, serving users in more than 75 countries, and went public on the Nasdaq in May 2025 under the ticker ETOR.
The group runs a separate regulated entity in each major market. eToro (UK) Ltd is authorized by the FCA (FRN 583263), eToro (Europe) Ltd by CySEC (license 109/10), and eToro AUS Capital Limited by ASIC (AFSL 491139). In the United States, eToro USA LLC is a FinCEN-registered money services business and eToro USA Securities Inc. is an SEC-registered broker-dealer and FINRA member. Further entities hold permissions in Abu Dhabi, Singapore and the Seychelles. Which entity you contract with, and therefore which rules and promotions apply, depends on your country of residence.
eToro is best known for copy trading. CopyTrader lets you replicate another user's trades automatically from a minimum of $200 per copied trader, with no extra charge for the copying itself. Around that sits a multi-asset offer: real stocks and ETFs, crypto, and, outside the US, CFDs on currencies, commodities and indices. ETF trades are commission-free, stock trades cost $1 to $2 depending on the market, and crypto trades carry a fee starting at 1% for standard accounts. US clients get stocks, ETFs, options and crypto but no CFDs.
The minimum first deposit depends on your country and ranges from $10 to $10,000 according to eToro's help center. It is $50 in most of Europe, the UK, the US and Australia, and $100 in the UAE. The account works in USD, so deposits in other currencies pay a conversion fee unless you use a local currency account where available.
eToro's current welcome offer, under terms last updated in January 2026, is a stock bonus rather than cash. New clients who register with an interest in stock trading pick a share from a list of qualified stocks and eToro buys it for their account after the qualifying terms are met. The bonus scales with the first deposit: $10 worth of stock for a $200 to $499 deposit, $30 for $500 to $2,499, $200 for $2,500 to $4,999, and $500 for deposits of $5,000 or more. The same tiers apply in pounds for UK clients. The offer covers residents of most EU and EEA countries, the UK, Australia, the UAE and Singapore. Only your first deposit counts, and that deposit must stay in the account for at least 90 days.
Separately, eToro (Europe) runs a refer-a-friend program in 18 European countries. The referrer earns $50 to $500 per referral depending on the referred friend's qualifying balance, and the friend must be new to eToro, verify their account, deposit at least $100, and open trades totaling $100 within 90 days of registering. Rewards carry a 30-day withdrawal hold.
Since ESMA's 2018 product intervention measures, which the FCA later made permanent in the UK, brokers cannot offer monetary or non-monetary benefits to retail clients as an incentive to trade CFDs. That is why classic deposit-match bonuses have disappeared from European CFD brokers. eToro's workaround is legitimate but narrow: the welcome bonus is real stock that you own, and the terms state explicitly that it is not provided as an incentive to trade CFDs. The practical effect is that eToro can still hand European and UK sign-ups something of value, but it comes as a small equity position tied to a deposit, not as tradable bonus credit.
The United States is not covered by the current welcome bonus terms, which apply only to the European, UK, Middle East, Australian and Singapore entities. US promotions, when they run, are handled separately by eToro USA.
Verify your account first. The bonus only pays into a fully verified account, and unverified accounts are capped in what they can deposit anyway. Then size your first deposit deliberately, because only the first deposit counts toward the bonus tier. Depositing $2,500 instead of $2,400 moves you from a $30 share to a $200 share.
Know the two holding periods. Your qualifying deposit must remain in the account for 90 days, and the bonus stock's value cannot be withdrawn for 90 days from the date it is credited. The stock purchase is subject to eToro's normal fees, so the amount you receive lands slightly below the headline figure, and selling it later costs the standard commission. The offer is limited to one per person and household, you are responsible for any taxes on the bonus, and eToro reserves the right to change or end the promotion at any time.
On the way out, withdrawals from USD accounts cost a flat $5 with a $30 minimum, while GBP, EUR and DKK local currency accounts withdraw free with no minimum.
Yes, in eligible countries. Under terms updated in January 2026, new clients in most of Europe, the UK, Australia, the UAE and Singapore receive free stock worth $10 to $500 depending on their first deposit, which must stay in the account for 90 days. There is no cash deposit match.
Yes. eToro operates through separately regulated entities including eToro (UK) Ltd under the FCA (FRN 583263), eToro (Europe) Ltd under CySEC (109/10), eToro AUS Capital Limited under ASIC (AFSL 491139), and in the US a FinCEN-registered money services business plus an SEC-registered, FINRA-member broker-dealer.
USD accounts pay a flat $5 fee per withdrawal with a $30 minimum. Withdrawals from GBP, EUR and DKK local currency accounts are free with no minimum. eToro USA does not charge withdrawal fees, though your bank might.
It varies by country, from $10 to $10,000 for the first deposit. Most European countries, the UK, the US and Australia require $50. To reach the welcome bonus you need at least $200 on your first deposit.
EU and UK rules dating from ESMA's 2018 intervention measures prohibit brokers from offering benefits that incentivize retail CFD trading. eToro's bonus stays compliant by granting real stock tied to a deposit, and its terms state the bonus is not an incentive to trade CFDs.
No. The value of the bonus stock cannot be withdrawn for 90 days after it is credited, and your qualifying first deposit must also remain in the account for 90 days. Refer-a-friend rewards carry a separate 30-day hold.
