ThinkMarkets runs a refer-a-friend program where both you (the Referrer) and the person you invite (the Friend) receive $50 credited to your trading accounts. The Friend must sign up through your referral link from ThinkPortal, complete KYC, deposit at least $250, and place at least one round-turn trade with $100,000 of underlying exposure (for example, one standard lot of EURUSD).
The Referrer must meet the same $250 deposit and one-lot trading condition to be eligible. Eligible trades cover major and minor FX pairs, precious metals, commodities, and indices, must stay open at least 5 minutes, and cannot be hedged.
The catch is the activation work, not a withdrawal trap. Unlike many credit bonuses, the $50 payment can be used for trading or withdrawn directly (clause 7.4 of the terms), so both the reward and any profits are withdrawable.
The Friend has 30 days from account opening to hit the deposit and trading targets. Some third-party sites list this as a $15 referral with a 5-lot requirement, but the official ThinkMarkets terms (updated 1 March 2024) state $50 per side and a single round-turn trade of $100k exposure, so treat the $15 figure as outdated.
