Risk warning: Trading carries a high risk of losing money, especially with leveraged products such as CFDs. A bonus does not reduce that risk. Only deposit what you can afford to lose.

The catch
Reward is withdrawable cash with no turnover requirement on the referrer's own account, but it only credits after the REFERRED FRIEND clears a hard, two-part tier gate within 30 days of registering: BOTH a minimum deposit AND a minimum lot volume must be met for a tier (deposit and lots do not substitute for each other, and tiers are not prorated). Entry tier: friend deposits $500 and trades 2.5 standard lots (~$250,000 notional turnover, ~500x the deposit) -> $50.
How to claim
- Open and verify your own live FP Markets trading account.
- Share your unique referral code or link with a friend.
- Your friend registers with the code, funds their account within 30 days, and trades qualifying Forex or Metal CFDs.
- Once the friend hits a reward tier (minimum $500 deposit and 2.5 lots, with trades held at least 5 minutes), the cash reward is credited automatically to your trading account.
- Withdraw the credited reward at any time.
Full review
The Refer-a-Friend program lets an existing FP Markets client earn a cash reward when a friend opens a live account using their referral code, funds it, and starts trading. The reward is tiered by the friend's activity: a $500 deposit plus 2.5 standard lots traded earns $50, $1,000 plus 5 lots earns $100, $5,000 plus 7.5 lots earns $150, and $10,000 plus 10 lots earns $200.
The cash lands in the referrer's trading account and can be withdrawn at any time, so it behaves like real money rather than a locked trading credit. The catch is the "up to $200" headline. The top reward needs the referred friend to deposit $10,000 and trade 10 standard lots within 30 days, which most casual referrals never reach.
The realistic payout for a typical referral is the entry tier of $50 ($500 deposit and 2.5 lots). The friend must fund within 30 days of registering, trade Forex or Metal CFDs only, and hold each trade open for at least 5 minutes (scalping the requirement does not count).
Referrers are capped at 3 successful referrals per calendar year. Eligibility runs through FP Markets' global entity rather than its ASIC (Australia) or CySEC (Cyprus) arms, which are barred from offering trading incentives, so residents under those regulators generally cannot take part.
Existing IBs and affiliates are excluded unless FP Markets gives written consent, and a client can only be in one promotional program at a time.
Pros
- +Reward is paid as withdrawable cash, not a locked trading credit
- +No turnover requirement on the referrer's own account
- +Clear, published reward tiers tied to the friend's deposit and lots
Cons
- −The $200 headline needs a $10,000 deposit and 10 lots from the friend; a realistic referral earns $50
- −Capped at 3 successful referrals per calendar year
- −Not available to clients under the ASIC or CySEC entities, or to existing IBs/affiliates
- −The friend's '2.5 lots' entry requirement is roughly $250,000 of notional turnover on a $500 deposit (about 500x); the $200 tier needs ~$1,000,000 of volume in 30 days. The lot figures sound small but are large dollar churn.
- −Tiers are hard AND-gates: the friend must clear BOTH the deposit AND the lot threshold for a tier. A friend who falls short on either (e.g. trades only 2.4 lots or deposits $400) earns the referrer nothing at all, not a reduced reward.
- −Rewards are not prorated or stacked between tiers, so partial activity that lands between two tiers pays only the lower tier.
